Bring the whole family to meet and share stories with a cast of favourite characters from new and exciting classic storybooks that will ignite imaginations, support child literacy, inspire creativity and make memories. This event raises awareness around the importance of reading to children by bringing storybook characters to life for the enjoyment of the whole family.

With an event experience for every age in the family, and our cast of storybook characters in attendance, you’ll want to attend one or more of these special curated magical experiences. 

Every child in attendance will receive a commemorative autograph book to collect the autographs of their favourite characters! This memento will be a wonderful way to capture the special memories created at the Storybook Gala!

All proceeds in support of the Imagination Library of Wood Buffalo Foundation which is a part of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Funds raised at the Storybook Gala will be matched through Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink. This program allows Imagination Library to receive 100% of every donation collected along with tiered matching up to 50%, which enables Imagination Libraryof Wood Buffalo Foundation to continue providing local children with books that will support their early literacy journey. 

This event will be hosted with full adherence to the Government of Alberta’s COVID-19 public health restrictions. Imagination Library of Wood Buffalo Foundation of Wood Buffalo may, at any time, and at their sole discretion, modify the events and activities including a postponement if necessary.
