CHAIR

I am a lover of reading and understand reading is the basis of all skills. I grew up in Fredericton, New Brunswick where I worked in a bookstore for 20 years. This is where I really saw the impact of reading to your children and them reading at a young age made a huge difference in life, as these same kids would be the ones winning scholarships, leaders of team sports and successful with whatever they put their mind to. I moved to Fort McMurray in 2006 to be with my husband and we are raising two beautiful daughters here. I have been a part of bringing the Imagination Library to our community since the beginning. I have a business degree from UNB and I run my own bookkeeping business.

I loved reading to my kids when they were younger and see their expressions as they visualize the book and begging for one more!

Fictional Character I relate to is Anne with an “E”, nothing that lets her keep her down for too long and loves to fix problems.

Something everyone should do? Travel and experience other places, it’s best to see the world from other people's viewpoints and make you look at your life in an interesting way too.
